Awright, folks. I need your help.
How do you recommend I get around NYC on friday night? I'm coming from Philly and heading to CT. I guess I'll be coming up the NJ Turnpike (I-95). Does it make sense to just stay on I-95 thru NYC, or is there a better alternative?
I'd really appreciate your input.
John

PA tpk east to rt 1 north (exit 28) to 95 north
to NJ 31 north (towards Pennington, where there is a good
sushi joint) to 202 north (towards Flemington)
to 287 north (at Somerville)
to 287 east (at Mahwah) towards Tappan Zee Br
to either Merritt pwky east or 95 east into CT
depending on traffic reports (with no info, take
95 rather than the Merritt; there's a crossover
spur about 35 mi into CT if you make the wrong
choice)
Do not attempt NYC and do not take 84 the long way
around West Chester county. It will be a bit slow
until you get to Flemington, but any route around
Philly will be murder at that hour.
